The coaching staff can only do so much. School staff, Athletic Director, Parents, all help the kids do what they need to do to become better.
There are always a few people who are a little more visible. I hate to slight ANYbody, especially parents that make sure their kids have shoes, spikes, and get to the bus on time, but there are some who I have come to rely on, or who did special favors for the program. These are a couple, there will be more as I have time to add to this page.

Chuck Geiger

Besides trusting us with coaching his three girls, Chuck has been acting as our Morale Officer. He drives kids to summer meets, encourages them, pumps them up, looks after injuries when my mind is on the next group to race, and often provides drinks and snacks for on the bus. He also finds time to harass coaches and kids any time we make even a little mistake . . .

Tom Muenchen

Tom hasn't entrusted any of his biological offspring to us, but he has sent us many of his "kids."  Tom's involvement with the Sharpsburg Sprinters, the elementary races, and general encouragement has been invaluable in helping introduce youngsters to distance running in general and to our MS and HS coaches in particular. Tom was at Allison  for a while but is now a NHS Counselor. Maybe now we can REALLY work him!

Andrea Alsip

Besides trusting us to coach her three kids (is this a trend?) Andrea has been our talent search in the MS. She also drives kids to summer meets, brings car loads to the bus, lends her husband for Millcrest Course clearing (thanks, Gary!) and her oldest for coaching the middle school.
